According to https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/cpp/ide/redistributing-visual-cpp-files?view=vs-2017 the MergeModules and vcredist_x64.exe is supposed to be located in a directory with a library version name that can be looked up in the Windows registry.

However that doesn't seem to be the case if a newer redist version is installed on the system which happens during the Visual Studio 2017 15.9.4 to 15.9.5 upgrade.

If the files can't be located, fallback to a directory serach and take the latest version available.
