      Hello,

We are a startup technology company. We are planing to use MongoDB for production purposes. Our product is not release yet and we plan to do so in Q1 of 2012. We deliver our solution to clients via Application Service Model (ASP). We are exploring the best practices for the MongoDB server setup / configuration. Here are the current assumptions:

      • Database should handle 100 TB data in 1-2 years.
      • Documents are stored in the GridFS.
      • We would like to have 100% uptime. Ofcourse there may be scheduled maintenance.
      • Secure and reliable

Can you recommend best practices in terms of server configurations for (hardware, backup and recovery, replication & availability, cluster/cloud formation)?

      Thanks
