Developers are starting to use the new generator in great numbers. Unfortunately when we make changes to fix problems or add features for some users it breaks for others and testing all permutations is difficult to impossible.

We should make the --ninja flag take an argument one of stable or next to allow users to opt into the next version before we make it stable allowing us to catch bugs before we force them onto users.
