FTDC already collects disk performance information using Performance Counters or /proc/diskstats but this information doesn't contain disk space information.

It would be helpful if FTDC could also map space information (total / free) per disk, which can be queried using boost::filesystem::space (see DatabaseImpl::getStats for an example).
