There's a lack of state changes being made on the RecoveryUnit in ephemeralForTest's implementation. For example, when we open a snapshot there should be a state change associated with that as WiredTiger has.

We'll have to investigate and add the appropriate state changes to where they're needed and complete the TODOs left for this ticket.
