      • dead and unused functions, variables
        to be removed if not consumed by a generator
      • trivial shell scripts (i.e. those that do not contain yaml expansions)
        to be extracted into evergreen/*.sh
      • functions consumed by generators
        to be marked with a comment “# Used by generator”
