While running the workloads for the Benchmark Long Lived Transaction project, it was noted that the validation commands take longer in new database versions.

In general, workloads with more write operations took longer to validate (the % change in the total amount of time ranged from about 10 to 35%).

Is this increase expected? Is there anything that can be done to bring the validation times of the later versions down to match the earlier version.
