Version v5.1 is introducing the support to sharded time-series collections, which are composed by

• an unsharded view
• a buckets collection, which from the perspective of the Balancer/Autosplitter logic can be considered as an ordinary sharded collection.

There is now the opportunity for applying collection-level balancing  and chunk defragmentation strategy to time-series collections, too.
