This test was introduced in SERVER-61158 to support collMod enhancements for indexes. The index spec is updated successfully in the index catalog but the converted index does not currently enforce duplicate key constraints - we expect the test to fail with a DuplicateKey error when we insert a conflicting document at the last step. However these duplicate keys are detected during the validation phase as the test tears down.
