Drivers already have some mechanisms for testing connections made to mongos over a load balancer (see here and here). We can reuse some of this infrastructure to test connections made over proxies to mongos in the server repo. We should test:

• Connections made from a proxy to both the proxy and non-proxy port.
• Connections made without a proxy to both the proxy and non-proxy port.
• Potentially, performance when many connections are made over the proxy port.
