Consider removing FCV check from $$SEARCH_META

      We check FCV for $$SEARCH_META here. However, the feature is enabled on 4.4 and later, so when users upgrade they may not be able to use $$SEARCH_META. This is a problem for Atlas as users may not control the FCV change/upgrade process.
