It would be nice if the shell could report back what databases a connection has authenticated to.

This could be done internally in the shell, or, if this kind of thing makes sense in drivers too, then maybe there should be a command for querying what authentication tokens are associated with the current connection.

This has come up twice in trainings in 2012Q3.
