Look through the parsing code (mostly in https://github.com/mongodb/mongo/blob/788248b98798044e325f30402ec3812a80dfbaf1/src/mongo/db/matcher/expression_parser.h but possibly in some constructors as well) for any strict argument validation that might ruin the ability of a representative query shape to be re-parsed.
