Introduce a metric that lists the number of unique appNames

      Currently the metrics.apiVersions field lists every appName to stable version mapping. Since this is in the format of a list, it isn't useful for FTDC captures. Instead, it would be nice to have a counter / histogram that lists the number of appNames per stable version mapping.
