In SERVER-81826, we separated parsing of the view pipeline from parsing of the user pipeline when running queries over a view. That change would make it possible to only have expression counters active when parsing the user pipeline, whereas beforehand we had no mechanism to isolate the counters for just that sub-section of the overall execution pipeline. We should consider if the counters can now ignore expressions in the view pipeline.
