Investigate if we need to explicitly take a stable checkpoint at the end of magic restore

      At the end of magic restore, we should take a stable checkpoint before exiting the process. This ticket is to investigate if the clean shutdown will implicitly take a stable checkpoint, or if we need to explicitly call that in the magic restore code.
