      In SERVER-61185, we backported a default-off performance improvement for unique index insertion. We disabled it by default out of an abundance of caution because a previous iteration required us to issue a CA.

      As this is enabled by default in 5.0, we should have some confidence that this behavior works correctly, and we can enable it by default in 4.4, as the consequences are pretty severe perf degradation.
