      Once MongoD has enabled routing capabilities by default, it will start producing routing statistics through a new schema for the FTDC and a LOG format. The embedded router feature flag has been deferred to protect only opening the router port, something that will not be enabled by 8.0. On the other hand, the new FTDC schema and new LOG format must be protected by a feature flag that will be enabled by 8.0.

      Goal

      We need to create a new feature flag in order to protect new FTDC schema and LOG format and enabling it by 8.0. We also need to create the corresponding ticket to enable the feature flag for 8.0.
