As a consequence of a tassert introduced in SERVER-87061, some clusters started failing CRUD operations on collections where there was a preexisting UUID inconsistency between the local catalog and the config catalog, resulting in SERVER-88360. As a temporal measure, the tassert has been removed. This ticket is to re-introduce the removed tassert once it has been deemed safe.
