Override drop function and asserts in magic restore passthroughs

      The magic restore passthroughs are using the core suites as workload generators to produce data to restore. We should consider overriding the drop and assert functionality in the shell so that data inserted during the tests remains on the cluster at the end of the suite, to generate more data.
