Improve Kafka $source idleness and connection down detection

      • If the initial Kafka $source connection succeeds, librdkafka does not inform us if the $source connection has been broken. It will just keep returning "0 events".
      • For correct idleTimeout behavior, we also need to be able to distiniguish between "there are no events on the topic" and "the connection is slow/lost".
