This command acquires db/collection locks on user collections which means that they are currently blocked by the direct shard operation checks. However, TSEs would like this command to still be runnable via direct connections since it is not avaiable on mongoS.

Another option would be to create a mongoS command which allows the caller to specify which node it would like the command to be run on or something similar.
