Originally we were using splunk to log detailied information about every cache event in scons cache to help debug several cache issues. After the issues were fixed we left the splunk logging on in case new issue appeared. We have not seen new issues for the last two years so we could disable the splunk logging to conserve splunk costs in the meantime.
