$text and $search both provide text search functionality. With EOL of 4.4 and 5.0, and search in community/EA, most of the $text use cases should be covered by $search. We are planning to deprecate $text in 9.0.

To come up with the deprecation plan, we need to:
1. analyze the $text usage. This may require querystats backport in place (targeting Sept)
2. analyze the gaps between $search and $text, come up with workarounds.
