In SPM-2923, we were unable to reliably run more of the resource-intensive tests (such as the concurrency suites) under ASAN with gRPC, very likely due to the limitations of the Sync API egress implementation used in the shell. We can take advantage of this to validate that the egress implementation with the callback (or async) api is able to handle sufficient load.
