We occasionally see system unresponsive failures on the gRPC AUBSAN build variant, which can be difficult to understand if they are/are not related to recent changes. I believe that this is due to the combination of sanitizer + ssl + gRPC overloading the system. I think due to recent changes we can at least stop using ssl in the gRPC build variant, but we should investigate this and prevent this error from happening on gRPC tasks.
