This initiative proposes to provide a self-managed version of the Atlas SQL Interface and eventually replace the BI Connector as MongoDB’s self-managed SQL solution for EA customers.

This self-managed SQL Interface will provide integration between the MongoDB EA self-managed databases and SQL-based tools that typically support operational reporting and analytics. The SQL Interface will support ODBC and JDBC APIs and offer live and read-only database connectivity. MongoDB has already commenced on a new SQL connector experience, Atlas SQL Interface, to support Atlas users. Atlas SQL Interface has served as a proving ground for an EA self-managed SQL Interface.
