Tests on Solaris occasionally fail because they cannot connection to the server in time. The logs show no server failures, and subsequent tests using the same server function normally. It is likely that the Solaris builders are too slow to connect to the server before it times out. Our current connection timeout is 3s across all tools/tests. Adding some override specifically for raising the timeout in certain environments should fix the failures.
