Add a way to test tools' output to stdout

      Some tools (like mongodump and mongoexport) can be made to output to stdout instead of to a file. We need a way to test that output. Either we need to be able to capture and inspect the stdout output in the shell, or we need a way to run a program from the shell while redirecting its output to a file.
