The docs for backup/restore have various cautions about system.profile. However, some tools may just skip it entirely now (and I can't think of a good reason it needs to be recreated empty – as some docs state).

We should double check how system.profile is handled, possibly reconcile any differences across tools, and file documentation tickets to bring that into sync with actual behavior.
