mongodump results in larger file size after upgrading 3.6 to 4.2

      Mongodump has been our production backup strategy for quite some time.  Before upgrading our backup file size was ~1.5GB using version 3.4 but after upgrading to 4.2 the backup size has increased to ~5.5GB. 

      Parameters for backup:

      /authenticationDatabase:admin --oplog --archive=$archiveFile --gzip

       

      We are using wiredTiger for storage, dataSize is 20.6GB and storageSize is 8.9GB.
