Likely low priority as the current master branch on github of mongo-tools seems to have solved the problem, but on the `2.7.7` build I was getting consistent `restore error: write tcp 127.0.0.1:27017: i/o timeout`.

I can supply a data sample, but it's a dozen gigs and the process fails only a few percent in. What is likely relevant is that the documents are all a few MB in size. This is being restored into a `2.4.11` mongod onto a spinning disk (hopefully reproducible without that detail).
