Legacy JS tests break against `latest`

      Problem Statement/Rationale

      The `legacy-jstests-latest` test breaks in all CI runs.

      Steps to Reproduce

      Submit any Evergreen run—even the last commit that passed.

      Expected Results

      The test should pass.

      Actual Results

      There is a consistent failure like this.

      Additional Notes

      The failure appears to be because auto-split is now removed from the server (cf. PM-3127), and we're using the legacy shell in this test.

      Is it possible for us to drive these tests with mongosh?
