We don't currently have a default value for compression that we pass in to the go driver, so there is no compression by default. We recently added this option to the docs so that users see it, but we should not make users take this performance impact for no reason. We should copy whatever is done in mongosync, and make the --compressors option not hidden in our CLI options.
