Investigate passthrough test failures

      It seems like quite a few of these have been failing since they were merged in late April. See this waterfall run for an example - https://spruce.mongodb.com/version/687da9ad9dd2770007dda7fb/tasks?page=0&sorts=STATUS%3AASC%3BBASE_STATUS%3ADESC&taskName=ctc

      It doesn't seem like it's exactly the same set of tasks which fail each time, though some of them have never passed.
