I just broke master by merging a branch that referred to a function that had been deleted in master. But I had not brought the branch up to date with that change.

For mongosync, we use the GH merge queue feature, which merges the primary branch to the PR branch and runs that code against some set of CI checks. We should do this for the tools too!
