Problem:

Currently we modify and add new platform/arch support by hand, requiring edits to etc/repo_config.yml, release/platform.go and common.yml. The requirement to edit this is primarily driven by server requiring a new supported platform. 

This can delay server releases, and since it is manual can be subject to human error. 

Jira bot automation seems to currently raise issues for adding support for enterprise, but sometimes this seems to duplicate and does not raise support tickets for community support.

Solution:

Coordinate mongo-tools with server to point to a shared platform/architecture support file which could indicate the required binaries to generate as a single source of truth.

Then we could automate through templating the generation of all required binaries automatically.

Impact:

Eliminates time wasted on cross-team manual tickets, minimises server wait time to deploy with new tools packages, eliminates potential human error.
