      mongostat's help output currently says:

         idx miss 	- percent of btree page misses (sampled)

      I've proposed a slightly clearer explanation in the MongoDB manual (see https://github.com/mongodb/docs/commit/f0fe68a96ebd30774bd330ffba216e89c9d6e97a).
