Currently the update function in fabfile.py allows for updating to the same or different WiredTiger branch. If we update the current branch and the WiredTiger build fails, we are not able to revert to the last working version of the branch. This ticket is to add functionality to handle reverting to an earlier commit when updating a branch to the most recent version.
