Once test/checkpoint is able to trigger creation of a copy of the database using a checkpoint cursor on SIGSTOP, it should be extended to run RTS on both the dumped version and the original database. The content of these databases should be compared and found to be identical if RTS is working correctly.

It's worth being cautious about early bugs spotted, as this approach is also likely to surface checkpoint cursor bugs.
