We have ongoing test failures occurring (at the rate of one every few days) of test_txn24 on Macs with WT_ROLLBACK errors. This is believed to be caused by an eviction issue which is described in WT-9575.

However, fixing WT-9575 has risk, and has been postponed so far (see that ticket for details).

In the meantime, this ticket will address the test only (the goal is to do so without changing WiredTiger itself) with the aim of eliminating the Mac build failures.
