custom extractor support

      Hi!

      As of 2.3.1 I can see that custom extractor for indexes are not supported.
      Are there any plans to support them and when?

      We're evaluating WiredTiger as a replacement for BDB where we use secondary indexes with our own extractor functions.
      We can try to implement this functionality "manually" by creating additional tables but probably there is some better way.

      Please advise.
