WT-12422 has created an initial task for running examples/c/ex_hello under TSan. This ticket will continue to add examples/c/ex_* tests to the task and update the code to address TSan warnings that are raised.

This task will be timeboxed/scoped by the number of lines changed. If we can't bring all the examples/c tests online in this ticket then work will be split into another follow on ticket to keep PR size manageable.
