With the 8.0 release of the timestamped fast truncate data format change in MongoDB, the standalone data format is now identical to MongoDB. We should be able to align these two releases we are doing and remove the specialized release for MongoDB.

Apart from the data format, we still have some code that is different for the two versions. We should investigate if we can align them.

If we can remove the specialized MongoDB release, we can also align our testing and there is no need for us to test the two releases separately.
