      This ticket should discuss the pros and cons of each and why the panic errors wouldn't be replaced with WT_ASSERT_ALWAYS. The main benefit of using WT_ASSERT_ALWAYS is the generation of a core dump when the assertion is hit but this assumes core dumps are enabled.
