To enhance the robustness and reliability of the WiredTiger storage engine, this ticket aims to implement a new feature in the RTS Model workload generator. This feature will allow for the generation of random WiredTiger configurations, enabling comprehensive testing of various scenarios.

By randomly generating configurations, we can uncover potential issues and edge cases that may not be apparent under standard test conditions. This is particularly relevant given the findings from WT-12345, where specific code paths were only triggered under specific timing stress configurations.
