Currently, btree_preload doesn't bother supplying block metadata when reading a page. That makes it incompatible with disaggregated storage. That's not the end of the world for what is ultimately a peroformance optimisation, but we need to investigate if it's worth doing the legwork to get prefetch for disagg.
