      The salvage operation has been disabled in test/format through WT-14697.

      We should still test this in attached storage. This ticket should investigate the failures we get when salvage is enabled.

      EDIT: Investigation done, the ticket is re-purposed to update an assertion in verify to allow errors to be propagated in salvage.
