During Disagg testing, we intentionally increased the cache size in several test areas (e.g., test/format and test/checkpoint). Ideally, the system should operate with smaller cache sizes, similar to how it functions in classic WT. However, due to PALite, larger cache sizes are currently required to avoid stall scenarios where application threads halt because the cache reaches trigger thresholds.

This limitation should be revisited once PALI is integrated as part of WT-16134, as it may eliminate or reduce the need for enlarged cache configs.
