One of the key performance optimizations for DSC is that WiredTiger will generate delta images for subsequent writes of the same page back to stable storage.
Many workloads alter one record on a page (index or collection) before writing it back to stable storage. Delta support allows WiredTiger to write just the change to shared storage, rather than also including the redundant data from the full page.
The goal of this ticket is to review when full page images are being written back and ensure that is the optimal choice (for example a newly created page with all modified content). If it isn't the optimal choice, understand whether the volume of inefficient full image writes is meaningful to overall throughput for the benchmark. If it is explore opportunities for generating delta pages more often.
